Statement of Support for the Asian-American Community

The members of Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc., a business and professional women's organization, stand in solidarity with the Asian-American community and all others faced with racial and ethnic discrimination.  We heartily condemn the racist rhetoric and supremacist thinking which led to the March 17, 2021, murders and assaults on Asian Americans in Atlanta, Georgia.  We offer our condolences to the bereaved families and the entire community.

As a business and professional women's organization affiliated with the National Council of Negro Women and the Black Women's Agenda, Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc., will continue to fight for equality, diversity, and opportunity across our nation.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." We call upon the leaders of this country to condemn racism in all forms and to work to establish unity and justice for all persons.
