LKM Congratulates Senator Kamala Harris
Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc., celebrates the nomination of California Senator Kamala Harris as the first African American and South Asian American woman chosen for a national office of a major U.S. political party. Presumptive 2020 Democratic Presidential nominee, former Vice President of the United States Joe Biden, named Senator Harris as his vice presidential running mate on August 11, 2020. She is a graduate of Howard University and the University of California's Hastings College of the Law. She has served as the district attorney of San Francisco as well the attorney general of California. She currently serves as the junior Senator from California. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Inc.
